On the 6th of March a visitor to PFA Agra, Mr. Prateek Singh, a resident of H3 Lawyer's Colony brought with him 3 pups - 2 males and a female. They were of about 15 days old. Their mother had died in an accident and these helpless angels were left to the mercy of the elements. This good Samaritan brought them to us. 2 of the pups died before we could give them a chance of life. The third was a fighter. It clung to life tenaciously. Katherine,  the Dutch volunteer became the foster mother. She made a small cloth cradle and strung it to her chest and carried it everywhere she went. She very meticulously fed it powdered milk at regular intervals. However she was worried that her date of departure to Holland was fast approaching. What would happen to the little fighter....???

I have a small cottage very near the shelter.  So, I decided to adopt him and keep him with my caretaker's granddaughter Sadhana. She was delighted to have him and she became the new foster mother. Now she and Sikander are inseparable. He has become the play companion and life goes on...
