On 19th September, a person named P.K.Sharma brought a cat from Khandari region of Agra. He informed us that the cat used to reside in a garden near his house and one day she met with an accident. One of her hind legs got injured with severe bleeding. We admitted the cat in our shelter and started her treatment. Her leg was so badly damaged that it seemed that Gracy will never be able to use that leg again for walking. We dressed the leg and carried out proper treatment.

During the treatment the cat was kept in a cage. She was so terrified here that initially she just sat in the corner of the cage and ate nothing. Gradually she started wandering in the cage. Her response to treatment was also good and the leg started healing. A few days later, we released the cat in the cat ward so that she had more space to walk and strengthen her leg. Gradually she grew attached to the people of the shelter.

Today Gracy goes in and out of her cat ward at will and wanders in the shelter. This is her new house now. She has fully regained the use of her leg. She comes back to her cat ward during feeding time and then goes out again to explore the territory.

  • PFA Agra received a complaint from Mr. Katicke that a few horses were being left to starve to death near Aligarh. Mr. Kuldeep Rathore went to Aligarh and stayed there for 3 days. He made sure that the horses were confiscated and taken away to Gurgaon. PFA Agra thanks Mr. Kuldeep Rathore for his unstinted support.
  • PFA Agra is pursuing a case of Dr. Bhrispati Roy who murdered 10 puppies in a fit of alcoholic rage by beating them with a stick. With the help of Mr. Kuldeep Rathore again, the man was arrested after an FIR was lodged. Unfortunately we came to know that money exchanged hands and the person was released the same night itself. We have launched a petition and would request all our supporters to please sign the petition so that justice can be served for the senseless death of the 10 puppies.
