RESCUE OF PUPPIES

 

    

 

On 24th Jan 2014 we received a complaint from Mr. Mahesh Sharma that 4 pups were lying in a dry well and were unable to come out. The locals said that they suspected that some one had deliberately thrown these puppies into the well. They kept barking and their mother was also nearby but not in the well. On hearing this PFA Agra took action but as it was in the army cantonment area a special permission was sought.

 

On being given the green signal one of our team members descended into the well. One by one they were taken out and after all were out they were examined by our paravet. They seemed none the worse for their ordeal. They were eventually reunited with their mother. We did try to find out who threw them into the well but no answers were forthcoming.

 

All this took about 2 hours to accomplish but the happiness all round and the appreciation was worth the efforts of a task well done.

 

This is how one small call, one small donation and a sensitive heart makes a difference of life and death for each struggling animal on the streets of Agra.
