On 10^th Aug 2011, we received a complaint at 10 am from the Loha Mandi area near Tote-ka- tal.  It was a case of poisoning of two bitches and a pup. This being an emergency, our team was dispatched immediately. On reaching the spot they saw that the three suffering immensely. They were in a very serious condition and their chances of survival seemed grim.

The doctor immediately administered first aid. An auto was arranged to take them to PFA Agra Hospital for further treatment and observation. On reaching the hospital they were provided with a separate ward where they were constantly monitored and further treatment was administered. After two days of constant treatment and cleaning their gastro-intestinal tract, on the third day solid food was given which included milk with bread pieces soaked in it. Their system slowly started to function. Their normal body functions resumed and most importantly faecal matter on observation looked normal. They showed that they were alert and active.

On the 14^th Aug they were released at the same place from where they were brought from because the people who used to feed and look after these dogs wanted them back. We conducted an inquiry but the people had no idea as to who poisoned these bitches and the pup. However due to the good Samaritans and prompt action by our team led to a successful conclusion of this case.
