In Nov 2011, one of the staff members of PFA Agra was passing by when he saw a pup of about 2 months of age lying on the road, emaciated with tongue protruding out, mouth foaming - all in all, he was in a very critical condition.

The staff member immediately picked up the pup, put him on his vehicle and took it to the hospital. Here we quickly checked his condition and noticed that he had very high fever, bloody diarrhoea and eyes were totally prolapsed. We first tried to reduce his body temperature and then carried out his further treatment. Thankfully we were able to pull him out of his critical condition.

Initially this pup was like all other pup in our PFA, but slowly we developed a special bond with him. At that time, the 3 internees from Holland were here and they supported us a lot in converting the common pup into a special Morgan. The name was given by them.

Although the pup came out of infective and emaciated condition but unfortunately he was not able to walk. Both his hind legs were totally paralysed. We didn't want to give up on him. We kept doing physiotherapy exercises for his legs so that they start regaining strength. Finally after 2 months of hard work, Morgan was able to stand and then slowly he started walking. Today he is able to run also!!!

Morgan has become a very special part of PFA family and we all cherish him. 

Small miracles like these, knowing that a life was saved, give us a sense of fulfilment, which gives us strength to move on and continue with our work.
